Website Project Proposal

Prepared for
New Zealand Football Foundation
Our Mission

To give the New Zealand Football Foundation a modern, easy-to-run website that tells its story, drives support, and preserves the history of football in New Zealand.

Let's create something great together for the New Zealand Football Foundation.

Hi Neil, Izzy and team,

Thanks for the recent meeting you had with Brian, and for the detailed list of changes you sent through. You have thought hard about what you want the site to do, and it shows.

Here is the honest picture. Your current site is over four years old. It still works, but the design and structure are dated, and it was not built on Client-First, the framework we now use to keep Webflow sites fast, scalable and easy to manage. We could apply your changes to the existing build, but that means adding new work onto an old foundation. It would be slower to make, harder to look after, and you would likely be back here again before long.

So we do recommend a full rebuild instead. We design and build a clean, modern site on the Client-First framework that your team can update easily, with room to grow as your needs grow. That matters here, because your list is not small tweaks. You are adding a whole History section, a museum vision, bigger landing pages, and new ways for people to support the cause.

We believe in what the Foundation is doing. Preserving the story of football in NZ, backing grassroots clubs, and building something that lasts is work worth supporting. So we would like to contribute 50% of the project cost. You get the full site, designed and built, for half of what it would normally cost.

This quote covers:

  • Full design and build of every page on Webflow, following your changes and the new History section
  • Content loading and formatting from your supplied documents
  • Integration of your new visual assets
  • Core SEO setup, with a full SEO option if you want it
  • Launch, training and handover

The full breakdown is below. Happy to walk you through any of it, or adjust to suit.

Project Scope

Nine steps, no big reveal

Staged sign-offs are the point. You approve the plan, the design system and the wireframes before the build so the project moves fast and stays on budget.

01

Discovery

A one-hour call to talk through goals, site structure, features and design direction. You get a written summary and a firm proposal back.

02

Content plan

We map every page before design starts. Hero messaging, section structures, headings, CTAs and meta tags. We sharpen structure and hierarchy and the words stay yours.

03

Design system & homepage

Style guide and homepage designed in Figma. You sign off before we design anything else.

04

Wireframes

The full site wireframed in Relume so we both agree the layout of every page before the build starts. Another sign-off here.

05

CMS structure

Collections for Blog, Case Studies, Products and any other needs are designed with you, set up to scale as you publish.

06

Webflow build

Built with the Client-First framework. You're inside the Designer commenting as we go with no big reveal at the end.

07

SEO & AEO

Meta tags, canonicals, OG tags, schema, sitemap and analytics wired in during the build, not bolted on afterwards.

08

QA & launch

Every page checked across breakpoints and browsers, forms tested, Core Web Vitals reviewed. Then launch and CMS training for your team.

09

Support

30 days of bug fixes included after launch. Ongoing SEO and support retainers available if you want them — no pressure either way.

Timeline

Most marketing sites land in 4–8 weeks depending on page count and polish. The honest variable is feedback speed. Our sign-off points at content, design, wireframes, and during the build keep things moving when they turn around quickly.

We'll keep our side moving fast and flag the moment anything puts the date at risk. Real dates get locked after discovery and proposal acceptance.

How we price

We price per page by complexity, plus fixed items for the CMS and SEO/AEO setup. No hourly billing - the number we agree is the number you pay.

You'll get a firm, fixed quote after discovery. Payment is 50% deposit, 50% before launch. We quote and invoice in New Zealand dollars.

A few honest notes

01

Motion

You get a polished site with tasteful motion baked in - scroll reveals, hover states, smooth transitions. Richer animation on key pages can be scoped separately, or supply Lottie/Rive assets and we'll build them in.

02

Copy

We build from your supplied copy. Our content plan gives you the structure, hierarchy and CTA guidance for every page  but the words remain yours.

03

Performance

Client-First keeps the class structure lean, we optimise and lazy-load images, and keep third-party scripts to a minimum. Core Web Vitals are reviewed as part of QA.

Let's lock your page list, timeline and a firm number.

A one-hour discovery call is all it takes to get started. No fluff, just a straight answer on scope, timing and cost.
